ACTIVITIES
PRESENTERS &
WORKSHOPS
Each monthly meeting includes a program designed to inform and inspire. Speakers are often nationally or regionally known quilt artists, designers and teachers. Other months the program might focus on community service, challenge quilts, or programs presented by members of the Guild.
Workshops by presenters
are offered several times throughout the year.
RETREATS
The Old Capitol Quilters Guild organizes two retreats each year, usually in February and September.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
OCQG has a long history of community service. Members give freely of their time, talents, and resources to create wonderful quilts and other items for donation to area charities. The Service Commitee coordinates these service projects for our guild.
Each February the OCQG holds its annual Service Day, where members volunteer their time and talents to sew for charity.
CHALLENGE
Each year the Program Committee comes up with a challenge for members to enter and devotes the July meeting to viewing member's entries.
