ABOUT THE OLD CAPITOL QUILTERS GUILD

The Old Capitol Quilters Guild of Iowa City, Iowa, established in 1981, has over 120 members who share a love of quilts and quilting. Members' interests vary from traditional to modern, and include art quilts, pieced and appliqué techniques, and sizes from miniature to large.

Our meetings are held monthly on the second Monday of the month, September through July. We meet at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2301 Court Street (corner of First Avenue and Court Street) in Iowa City.

Quilters of all levels, beginners to experts, are welcome.

We provide speakers and workshops to inspire our creativity and improve our technical skills. Small groups, monthly meetings/workshops, retreats, quilt shows, and community service projects all provide the opportunity to develop friendships, enjoy fellowship, and contribute to our community.
