NEWCOMERS GROUP
It is not too late to join our group, whether you are new to the guild, new to quilting or would like to join a small group within the guild, you are most welcome to join us.

APRIL MEETING
At the April 26th, 9:30 AM meeting, we will be piecing curves. Becka Owen, owner of Blooming Acres Sewing and Crafting Studio in Mt. Vernon, has generously offered her wonderful space and equipment for us to use that day. If you have never sewn a curve, not comfortable with the technique or can sew curves but want to be challenged further, come to this Newcomers sewing session. Becka has seven sewing machines we can use, so if your machine is too heavy to carry around, you can use one of the machines there.
I will have lots of precut fabric for you to practice piecing curves with. For those wanting an extra challenge, I will demonstrate how to design and make your own curved templates. You might also want to try some improv curves. For both of these you will need to bring some of your own fabric to cut.
I need to know how many are coming. So please RSVP at 319-800-9428 or pje281@gmail.com. And let me know if you need to use one of the 7 sewing machines and if you are interested in car pooling. .
