The COVID-19 Virus and
Our Quilting Community
This is a rapidly evolving project. On Sunday, March 23, 2020, we moved information about sewing face masks to a separate page because we anticipate.to have frequent updates and additional information to share in the next several weeks.
The Old Capitol Quilters Guild has cancelled our monthly meetings originally scheduled for Monday, April 13, and Monday, May 11.
Fortunately, we have been able to reschedule Jane Sassaman who was to speak at our May meeting and present a workshop on the following day to June 8-9, 2020. See the revised schedule and a description of her presentation and workshop here. We will notify our members asap if plans need to change again.
In the meantime, stay safe and watch the OCQG website and your email for information about resources to keep you going on your quilting projects and for ideas on learning new skills. If you have suggestions of other things we could do to help members of the Guild, please let us know!
Here are some places to start:
Local quilt shops and service providers respond to restrictions imposed by COVID-19.
View changes in hours, special services, and more that our Advertisers have implemented to make shopping easier from home.
OCQG Members recommend free online resources to help us learn and create while we're at home: tutorials, videos, patterns, and more.
Virtual Show & Tell in the Member Forum so we can share what we've been working on until we can meet again in person.
